Truth Simplicity Love Note - May 6, 2016 - From the Babaji Speaks website which is incorporated herein

You say thoughts are from the ego and so are judgements. I do think I understand the unconditional observer and how thoughts and judgements are from the ego but surely we couldn't operate in this world if we didn't think. I need to think to brush my teeth to assess whether a situation is dangerous or not. Have I missed something here?

"Are you attached to thoughts of the dead past or the non existent future. Do you look at something through the filter of past thoughts or do you look at something as fresh and new without judgement as if the observer and the observed are one. The Observer, the real you, exists in that space between thoughts where there is pure unconditional observation. Now you may go and brush your teeth."

Babaji.net is dedicated to presenting the teachings of Shri Haidakhan Babaji for the purpose of uplifting humanity. Haidakhan Babaji was present physically and resided in Haidakhan, District Nainital, in northern India, from 1970 to 1984. He is recognized by many as one of the incarnations of the “Babaji” mentioned in Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda.

Babaji’s basic teachings are: Truth, Simplicity, Love and Service. He recommended the mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” as a means of connection to the Divine, by repeating it constantly. The words are translated as “I surrender to the Divine” or “Lord, Thy Will Be Done.” This mantra holds the qualities of purification and protection. Babaji also taught that all religions are based on the same teachings and to follow the religion that is in your heart.

Our website is meant to create spiritual community in support of the teachings and to give guidelines in how to put these principles into action in the way that Shri Babaji has taught us.

Please join us to deepen and empower your own spiritual path based on Truth, Simplicity, Love and Service.

The Mantra

Om Namaha Shivaya

Also written and pronounced Om Namah Shivai. Said to be the first words uttered by the Creative Source; the oldest mantra. It can be translated as I bow to/ surrender to/ take refuge in Shiva. Lord Shiva is known as the Doer of Good, and the mantra is also interpreted to mean, I bow to whatever Good is happening and to Whomsoever is doing it.
